The reason you feel this way and go to the great lengths you do is because while you feel used or burned in one sense, you also don't want to have to go through the pressure of losing a friend. ( None of us do right? ) It's because you hold your friends so dear or possibly have a shortage of them. I tell peeps it's time to clean out the closet. You need to be upfront with them and call them on the carpet when they screw up and be strong and let them go if you have to. You’re doing you and them a favor because hopefully they will learn from their mistake. I just had to let go of a close friend of 8 years that I had even had relations with a couple of times. The problem was she would always criticize my thought process and take every one else’s side in any problem. In addition she would go out of her way to not be there as a friend for me. As much as I hated to lose her, I had to tell her our friendship was over. It's not a decision of when someone makes a small mistake its more like you can see a pattern or the fact that they go out of there way to piss you off.
Do others besides me do this or am I a really mean cowardly b**ch?
