This depends on what you mean by "nice guy".
If you mean someone who is basically a doormat, then I would have to say they probbably are not the best suited for relationships.
If you mean someone who is simply an all around good person, then I would say no. They may not always come in first, but thats just how it goes. But one does not ever come in "last" by being a good person.
