There are many people out there who like women who are a few pounds overweight. And who defines "overweight" anyway? Is your friend going by the asinine BMI calculators or some other weight chart? She shouldn't be. She should be paying attention to how her body feels, if she's healthy and feels good.
Society feeds us women messages constantly that say that we should be thin, that if we have an extra five pounds it's the end of the world and we should just cover up our gross bodies forever. It's bullshit. Complete and utter bullshit.
Tell your friend to please find a way to be comfortable and confident in her own body. Confidence is SO much sexier than ANYTHING else.
