No need to change, people are different. If you want people to change their opinion of you, it won't happen unless you change, and that doesn't mean you should change.
I don't think your closer to the "dark of the world" more than others, closer to the dark myths and stories, such as vampires, etc shows that.
Liking dark things doesn't make anyone evil, so people won't see you as such, but they may see it as irritating, which people do for no valid reason but it happens.
Dark in the sense of supernatural and dark stories, yes.
Not evil in the main sense that Evil wears a mask of innocence and wouldn't make their likes so known to the public and would dress in ways most would like.
