I love my cat loads but i don't want to marry it

It's normal to really love your pet. But you should have human friends too.

To love your cat at that level is perfectly normal. I can see you are more comfortable with living with someone that you have more control over and someone who wouldn't break your heart but never seek to violate your cat.

If you love your cat like a best friend or a child that is fine. If you want to have sex with your cat it is wrong.

my former cat was my soul-mate (not in a romantic way, mind you), but i was SOOOO broken up when he died. i was crying uncontrollably for days (people at work though i was either dying or had a serious drug problem)

i'm going to get a tattoo of him on my back. i have a new cat now, but he's nothing like the old cat. i mean, i love this cat and all, but still..... i felt worse when he died than when my mom died (and i loved my mom very much but, i think it's because my mom had cancer, and she knew what was coming. she was ok with it.)

I loveee my cats. Sometimes i think maybe too much but i can't help it! When i'm older i want to have a cat then, (why being a cat lady is bad i'll never know why if you have human friends it's cool right?!)literally the thought of loosing one brings me to tears thinking about it. I think it's normal to love your cat because they don't do anything wrong do they? they don't tell you you look fat or ugly. and they don't break your heart. I think it's perfectly normal. Marrying it. Maybe not. But whatever floats your boat.

i love cats to. i have little kittens at my house and they just make me melt with their sweet little eyes. however they are outdoor cats and very shy.

As long as you don't have sex with him/her. Animals can't really consent so that would be unethical. Besides, it is possible to get sicknesses/diseases--even anaphylaxis--from that, even if the kitty could consent.

Otherwise, normal. It might be fun to have a "commitment ceremony" to your kitty!

My cats sure love me, and I sure love them too. I feel and consider my cats as family. For the most part, my cats to me are like my children; and, I treat them like a loving father.

I wish my cat was a human so he could be my boyfriend... So yes, in my book, this sort of thing is totally normal.

I don't think so. I can relate. My cat saved me from depression. It's like with her around, there's a light on in my life again, everything is more colourful. Antidepressants had just made me feel less suicidal. I actually feel like my cat is my sister. I didn't have any siblings growing up and I felt that way about the cat I grew up with. I'm a very shy person, pretty lonely. Sometimes I even have dreams with my cat, that we are kids, except she's in human form, and she's my sister. Who knows what that means but my point is that your cat is lucky to have you! Enjoy the time you get to spend with your cat.

I am not sure how young/old the person is and no nothing wrong with loving your at a lot (though makes it difficult sometimes to do things like leaving alone). I love my cat so much too and wouldn't know what to do without him but no don't want to marry him.

As far as the human friends go, I got that cat cause as good as a friend as I am to anyone I try to build friendships with they have other ideas and I lost trust in ppl. I have friends to a degree in family but not at all the same and I still look but the few I had trusted will make it hard to have true friends as I won't be able to open up as in past.

I worry a lot about my cat (I am new to the pet owner world, I mean had them growing up but mom/dad were overall responsible). I have separation anxiety of some sort or just don't know how to be sure he's happy when i'm not there (long days

Just tonight, this crossed my mind for the first time and I proposed to my cat! I have a female cat too but I know she's not that interested in my boy, so she wouldn't be jealous. I tell them both how much I love them ALL THE TIME and reckon he's the PERFECT partner - except that he's a cat and I'm not ... but I don't see why a 'mixed species' partnership shouldn't be accepted.
