Do i like my ex?

Okay so I dated this guy a while back in high school and was my first sort of serious relationship but I broke up with him because he was in too deep and I didn't feel the same on that level. A little while later he got a new girlfriend and they are still dating but I feel like somethings changed. We stayed pretty close friends so we talk a lot but I don't know if that means he still has feelings for me or if its me who started getting feelings for him again?
Also this doesn't mean I want to ruin their relationship, just curious.

    Well you must have "feelings for" him if you gave enough of a shit to post about it.

    I don't know though, maybe that kind of logic doesn't work when trying to investigate women. Maybe the feeling you're feeling isn't genuine attraction to the guy, and is instead an urge to compete with this other girl to boost your ego. Women tend to be completely fucking insane, so it wouldn't be too far fetched.

    Another possibility is that this traces back to the female's fucked up psychology wherein they're only attracted to men who are popular with other women. You perhaps didn't think much of the guy when you were dating him, but now that you see him with an attractive woman who's not you, all of a sudden you start thinking he must have some amazing alpha male qualities you overlooked and the other girls see. For this reason, women go around homewrecking and ignoring single guys, and fucking up the balance of their ecosystem.

    I'm just being factual here, women. You don't have to take it personally, but you probably will anyways.

      Ahh someone has explained the way my mind works! I can understand guys being confused by women as I get confused about how my own brain works but this seems likely, I am a competitive person. Thank you
