  • Stop drinking alcohol to put yourself to sleep, that will only make it worse and in the morning you'll might have a hangover and feel much more tired than usual and also the alcohol will make you dehydrated(i know it sounds weird, but alcohol actually dehydrates even though it's a liquid that you're ingesting)
I suggest you to make an appointment with a neurologist and a psychologist, the first one for you to go through an exam called "polissonography" which analizes your sleep cycle for about 8 hours(you go to the clinic and you sleep there for that period of time, and while you're sleeping you'll have some wires attatched to your head that will keep track of what's going on in your brain while you're asleep/or not.); and i suggested the psychologist for you just so you can erase the possibility of suffering from anxiety, depression, and other mental problems that also lead to insomnia.
And also, TURN OFF YOUR PHONE WHEN YOU GO TO SLEEP!! Don't scroll all over the internet just for the sake of not being able to sleep. The light that comes out of your phone screen will keep your brain activity high and that won't make your task to sleep any easier! And yes, it's completly normal to suffer from insomnia once in a while, but if your case is chronic, you need to seek for help because that's not going to be good for your mental/physical health.
I'm also an insomniac and a pre-med student, so feel free to ask/share anything to me and i'll be glad to try and help you! :D

    • Well, all I can say is thank you. I'll try to talk to our psychologist at school (yeah, I'm still studying)... Now I'm considering the usage of sleeping pills, yet I'm having second thoughts because I might get dependent in using pills. I'll just ask an advice from our psychologist... BTW, thank you, really.
