  • I have never fantasized about a perfect woman. Every fantasy has been about a real, if flawed, woman. Indeed in my younger days, some were utterly unattainable, such as Christie Brinkley, but they were all real, living women.
I have never sought perfection, as I don't believe it exists and even if it did, I am so flawed (as often pointed out by so many on here) I certainly wouldn't presume myself to be attractive to a perfect person.
Those who seek perfection, in art, life or a mate (partner) are doomed to find only disappointment, which is perhaps why they do it. That way they need take no responsibility for their failure to have a real lover/partner and use it as an excuse for their misery.
"For the most part, people who love fictional characters know they can never replace human contact". This does not seem to be the case for so many on IIN. From their posts, they seem to shun human contact in favor of the fictional characters.
As for my standards and relationships, well, you all seem to assume a lot, and we all know what assuming gets you. Indeed, my self worth is built, in a large part, on those who have loved me over a long life; both friends and lovers. For that love is of much greater importance to me than all the money, power and prestige I may have acquired.
I sincerely hope each and every one of you can say as much, when you are as near the end of your lives.
