Do guys prefer pursuing a girl than getting asked out?

I noticed that when a guy asks me for my number, he tends to be way more eager to go out with me than when I ask a guy for his number. I have to put in more effort to impress the guy I asked out than when it's the other way around. I like the challenge but it also gets frustrating sometimes. Would guys prefer pursuing a girl to having a girl chase them?

    absolutely. when a guy wants to date a girl because he finds her attractive, he will go the extra mile to impress her and if she shows even the slightest bit of interest in him that would make him ecstatic. it's basic psychology. on the other hand, if you are pursuing someone and they don't really care about you, then you have to do something to get their attention and even then it may or may not work out.

    I am a guy and personally I i am fine with either but most men like pursuing girls better than being asked out by one (probably has something to do with pride)

    I would say because to many guys (and girls) sometimes have an attitude that they are to good and the female is not good enough for him to be seen in public with. To many guys are to flippen shallow. But I'm sure there are people m and g that rather not be pursued. They may want to only try for the "hot ones" in their own mind. Some guys are just to DAMN picky. But then some of many people(like myself) are pretty content with a heartbeat and breathing.(And a nonsmoker)
