The only man I ever called "Daddy", besides my own father was my bestfriend in college, a gay, black, English guy. I called him daddy, because he was a fiercely loyal person who was always there for me! I wasn't even aware of the sexual nature of calling a guy that at the time. He did tell me that his mum would disapprove of me calling him daddy, because she was a strong, second wave Feminist.
