Like I have said meditation helps "calm" the mind. It helps put you in the moment (the present) and helps you stop thinking about everything. It may help looking into it even though you are on drugs. It can help stop drug addiction. You just have to work on paying attention to your breath and what is around you.
Also it sounds like you need to see a doctor or a therapist OR Rehab like Omglula said.
omg! you have the key to life, that phrase you just said "living in the moment'. Have you read the book The Power Of Now by Eckhart Tolle? It is a fab book and is all about being in the present moment and how to control the mind. I would recommend this not only to people that struggle with addiction of drugs of any kind but to anyone, because it sure is a life saver! As majority of people are either constantly in the past or future which automatically brings you away from the moment and causes pain by either agitation, anticipation, guilt, remorse, e.c.t. Where as when you are in the moment you have no pain because you are not connected with your mind.
You are connected with your mind it's you aren't irrationally thinking all the time and aren't reacting with feelings. You think before you speak. If you weren't connected with your mind you wouldn't even think.
Yes, I did read it all because you still do except pain because if you didn't that's when you aren't going to be able to control your emotions right and find the light. Then you are in the moment and realize hey why am I afraid. The past is the past and the future isn't here yet. You except that they happened. Mistakes are lessons not failures.
I personally believe things happen for a reason.
I'm aware what you are talking about. But the last part didn't make sense because it's you are connected with your mind and body you just aren't actively thinking where you think about negative judgements. Which I see you said believe in your mind which the negative thinking. :)
I believe that everything happens for a reason too! I am not sure what you are talking about in the latter part, all I know is that I learnt from the book that every emotion/thought is created by the ego and in order to let them be as a feeling rather than 'being that feeling' hence acting out in certain ways such as violence e.c.t You have to be the observer and feel your true 'being' so not to think you are the mind which the majority of people do.
Yes that is what I was saying, no worries. Don't act on emotion think before acting. Am I going to take the right action upon how I am feeling at the moment or am I going to try to make myself look better? :)
Do drug (amphetamine) addicts share similar character flaws and why?

I'm sorry, are you saying you are your own therapist?
Perhaps I wasn't specific enough..Being connected with your mind and believing you are your mind are two different things.
