No race is pure.
Unless of course you are referring to genetics..then i guess biologically speaking if a race were to have every pair of alleles, homologous. (genes coding for the same thing without any sort of genetic variation) You could have pure race, biologically speaking, but it wouldn't be very healthy, wouldn't last long...you need genetic variation to survive, (evolve and adapt to the environment)...otherwise the environment will change, new diseases will come along and your dead
More than likely no, unless the tribe has remained consistently isolated. However, if you follow Out-of-Africa-Thoery, then no one is racially pure as everyone would have come out of Africa.
The Daleks are at last a pure race, fully depleted of weak human-like emotion. Your race will be exterminated!
You've obviously not seen the David tennant era Dr who in which a Dalek has feelings
Basically race is a kind of phony concept. We are of course all the same species and so have common ancestors. Imagine some of the first people who left Africa. Say they arrived in Asia and settled there. Would it make sense to call them "biologically pure Asians" at that point? Not particularly. Yet with rising oceans and whatnot they eventually became isolated and gradually their appearance changed to what we now recognize as "Asian". But were they actually "biologically pure" at any point? If so when? And how?
You could arbitrarily say they became a separate race after they were isolated for 500 generations, or whatever cutoff you like. They would, by definition be a "biologically pure race" at that point but that would be... as I said, arbitrary.
individuals within a particular race/ethnic group, maybe
scandinavian people come to mind
I don't think so. However, there's still cultures, histories, languages, and customs that separate people from each other.
Not sure they ever really have. Maybe way, way back. There's been research to suggest that it's an ecological advantage to be mixed race - so I'm guessing it could be the opposite case with a 'pure' race. All the moving around and procreating with people of other races etc. is a good thing in terms of human evolution. Dogs are 'best' when they're pedigrees, or something? Humans are the opposite?!
