Disturbing thoughts after movie

A few weeks ago I watched VHS 2 with some friends and even the grotesque and disturbing scenes didn't really phase me although my friends were totally disgusted. Ever since then I've had thoughts about murdering my friends or random people I see, often in awful ways. Is this normal? Also will they go away after a while?

I felt this way after watching 'Eat, Pray, Love' starring Julia Roberts.

It's such a funny coincidence to find comments on here about "Eat, Pray, Love" because I picked up the DVD from the library today and was just trying to decide whether to watch it tonight or not.

An acquaintance recommended it: is it really bad and what's bad about it?

      It's a legit snuff film

What on earth do you mean? Julia Roberts gets killed on camera? I don't think so, nor do I think there is such a thing as a legit snuff film - how could there be?

Perhaps, you should stop watching films in that genre.
