I don't like 90% of the people that I know on facebook. In fact, I think that many of my facebook friends are self-involved and rude. However, I don't want to unfriend them.
Oh yes, I don't have real connections to all of my friends (give or take two or three) in real life and I hate most of them. Facebook automatically entails everyone who knows you to friend you! I don't seek them, they seek me. It's normal to be like that, don't fret an just bear with them.
facebook friends aren't really friends. don't unfriend them though, being so self-involved, they will take it bad.

I know friends who have over 700 Facebook friends many of which they barely know or don't know it all. It doesn't contribute to their popularity because most of their friends will never post on their page it all, however I suppose the number is something of a trophy to them. I find it hilarious when they go through people's statuses whom they barely know and talk about how much of a loser they are while they're the ones stalking the loser.
Haha this is why I only have about 50 friends, mostly old classmates. I only talk to like 5 of them on a daily basis.
