It's because the mirror is the only way we see ourselves - we are more used to it, to see ourselves in a photo is the {mirror opposite} so we think we look funny when our friends would dissagree cos thats how they know us best -
Its like if you draw a picture and put it in the mirror - it suddenly doesnt look right.....
