Yes exactly. Up until I was 12 I was most often spanked without any clothes on, being forced to remove them in my room before I was taken downstairs to be spanked in front of my family, which included my mom or dad (depending on who was doing the spanking) as well as my siblings. While of course I hated it, being spanked while naked and in front of everyone made a huge difference with how quickly I complied with getting accross my mom or dad's knee since it was better than having to stand there in front of everyone completely exposed. After my spankings were over I'd have to do some corner time still with no clothes on but at least no one could see my front there.
