No. I was a "gifted" child and was at a substantially higher level of intellect than the other kids. I never had social problems, but I remember when I was as young as seven years old I had to dumb myself down in order to fit in. I was always bored in my classes. I was a quick learner and never struggled with my work. Probably up until my senior year in high school, I would sit in class and think, "I can't believe these people are actually able to function in life." School was honestly torture for me - I had little interest in the subjects and felt as if I was going brain dead just sitting in classes staring off into space while somehow maintaining high grades.
I also found 90% of teachers to be either immature assholes or so stupid that I doubted they would even be able to pass their own classes.
Did you enjoy school growing up?
