Did trump lose his chance at re-election due to covid and race protests?

I know quite a few people who are Republican who said they aren't voting for him again because of how he's handling those two things. I can kind of see their point. What do you think?

It certainly didn't help, but "lose" is far too strong of a word. He has plenty of rabid fanatics that don't care in the slightest for any of Trump's controversies (before or during presidency). American presidential elections are little different from a sports game. Red team versus blue team. A huge number of people vote for the same team their whole life, convinced that their team is the lesser evil.

That they're the ones who are "woke", even though they're likely just NPCs (but not all grey like in the meme, they come in red and blue) caught up in their own team's bullshit. Thinking that they're "woke" is just part of their programming. Voting for the other team is unthinkable. The candidate doesn't matter nearly as much as the team. This isn't even just true among the general population but the government as well:

Mitt Romney is the first senator in U.S. history to convict a person from his own team. Objectivity in U.S. politics is quite a rare happening.

    • I don't know what's more sad, the fact that you think that Trump supporters refer to themselves as "woke" or that you couldn't even find two memes to insult them that weren't created by them.

Never said they refer to themselves as "woke" (just that the definition fits what they think they are, though they're not) and I wasn't talking about one particular group at that point. I used that meme precisely because it was created by a political group, imagining that they're the only intelligent, objective ones, even when they're not and they're the ones they're making fun of. The irony was lost on them and it's clearly lost on you now. What's more sad is you getting butthurt about a comment that was only criticizing people with a lack of objectivity, you missing the point of my comment completely, and you responding with points hardly relevant to my comment (neither of which are even valid).

That's fine, thanks for admitting fault and not doubling down for no reason.

  • Absolutely! The American people love that their homes, jobs, businesses, and local grocery stores where they get supplies to feed their kids are being destroyed in riots that democrats are supporting. No doubt.

First let me be clear that I did not vote for Hillary or Trump. I wrote in a vote for Gov. John Katich OH. My concerns with Trump came true...the man is incapable of telling the truth do to his being a narcissist.
I hear his defenders rave about what he did. He has been. Good to the rich. He does not know that an economic tariff is not paid by China. It is paid by Americans when they buy Chinese goods in stores. He IS working with Russia as you read this. And he admitted he would accept foreign interference in our election in a ABC interview. He has destroyed our position in Europe by removing troops sent there to keep the Russians in Check. The man is destroying this nation. There are many better qualified Republicans out there so this is not a Rep v Dem argument.

Do they change the script of a WWE match based off who the crowd is cheering for? Or does it proceed as planned because it's just a show?

I don't think the election is rigged. The closest to it is the faithless electors refusing to vote for the correct candidate. They don't even get away with it, most of the time.

The establishment chooses the candidates in the first place. At the point where somebody makes it far enough to go on TV they've already been screened and approved.

I do agree with you, slightly. However, there is still some choice by the voters.

            Why would there be?

I think the race stuff actually helps him in some ways. Because some of stuff you hear from the protesters is anti white rhetoric but then on the surface theyre all like "awwww we love everyoneeeee"

Also Nancy Pelosi and the democrats recorded a video at the beginning of the covid outbreak where they were going through chinatown hugging everyone to combat the china travel ban. Thats out there no matter how they spin it

Yeah because was torturing animals and killing black people. Biden doesn’t do either of those.

I reckon the race stuff has made no difference - the people bought into all that stuff were the same people who didn't vote for him the first time around. No votes lost there.

Covid... Maybe. He has made a lot of very public fuck ups during this time. People tend to long remember how their leader acts during a crisis.
