A British comedian went to school with him and when he (Usama) spent time in London, he enjoyed football matches (in particular Arsenal - his local team rather than any military connection). Many hundreds of fans remember him because of his sheer height (and the way he was dressed). I'd be amazed if all these ordinary people were complicit in some far-reaching lie.
As for anything else, our grandchildren will know the truth. We probably never will.
