My guess would be that he already was into men . I think the drug just brought it out when he started selling himself for money as you said . Crack will make the user lose all awareness around them , remove any cares they have hence why they use it . They want to escape and as far as seeing people , well , he just doesn't have the time when he is busy getting high on drugs or finding ways to pay for more . He also probably feels like an outcast now , which he would be sort of . I would try to offer to get him treatment but aside from what anyone says , I have seen it first hand ... most people are a lost cause until they want to help themselves . I would try to get him treatment immediately before it is too late .
