Demon possession

Why is it so important that you disprove your friend? What's wrong with having different beliefs about something, and agreeing to disagree? Why does this have to be about one person being right, and the other being wrong. Just accept each other as you are if you truly are friends.

I'd try to use facts, hope for the best and prepare for the worst. Demonic possession is a supernatural belief and your friend isn't the only one who shares it. In ancient times they chalked up mental illness, disability and birth defects to demons and spiritually unclean living.Today we know it's just genetic and chemical influence, but some people insist it's still an evil spirit. Also when bringing forward a new idea, remember the point is to inform and not attack - it will already be a slow road to convince them without calling their spiritual ideas into question. People loathe being wrong.

You're asking for a way to prove to someone with an unscientific, irrational mindset that a certain type of non-material entity does not exist.

Science has shown that the things which used to be ascribed to gods and demons have causes that are material and quantifiable, but science will never be able to prove that God and demons do not exist, and there will probably always be people who choose to believe the simplest explanation for events.

In the case you describe, someone who wants to believe in demonic possession could simply choose to believe that the cause of the mental illness was supernatural. Even if a doctor diagnosed some neurochemical imbalance or physiological damage as the cause, a Believer could simply say that that was the means used by the demon to take control.

In short, there's no point arguing with irrational idiots, because irrational idiots are immune to logic and reason.

world exists far beyond human thinking even though many have proved existence of demon and gods, i still have my doubts. to me they are just stories and made up stuffs. i do believe in soul, they exist among us and i feel like its better for us to just avoid and live peacefully but that's not possible is it

Take them to get an exorcism so the "demon" can leave their body.

dude, out of curiosity i searched quite a lot about this subject.
Simply put, there are cases where psycology can explain and work out a solution, and there are cases that they cannot, and for this last case is what we call today "demonic possession"

Now, to speak so sure has to simply "disprove" it you must me extremely sure that it is not a real thing, and is just a mental stuff.
Well, my friend, careful with this arrogance. you may be doing more ill than good speaking with him like this anyway.
Being mental or an actual possession, take him to a priest. Either he will live out the fantasy and be free, or be actually released from possession. either way, it is a win-win.

If you have scientific proof it’s not real. Sometimes things do happen that defy all science and logic though. You’re friend could be ill, or he could be legitimately seeing something. Try staying with him to see if you see or sense something as well.
