Where in the world do you get this shit; "All child molesters are rapists"?
If someone screws up a child physically and/or psychologically, for many years or life, they deserve death; no if, ands, or buts.
I just don't understand your view point, unless you are a rapist or child molester, trying to cover your own ass. Why in the world would you even want to chance these sickos harming someone you love, after release because they are "rehabilitated"? It just doesn't make sense releasing them back into society, no sense at all, to me.
They are people. People can change. I don't understand why you refuse to accept that most people change, regardless of the evidence I put in front of you.
Your "evidence" is quite selective. State figures such as those are never accurate, the are always skewed towards whatever point they need to make, at the time, to get more funding.
"Child molestation is rape" how can you say that? Your logic escapes me completely.
Anyway, you rehabilitate them, offer them a place to live in your home, but warn them that if they come near me or mine, with or without evil intent, I WILL exterminate them, as I would any other disease ridden vermin.
Just taking out the trash, y'all.
Rape is NOT a crime of sex, it is a crime of power and rage. If you do not understand that, then this whole discussion is pointless. Most child molesters, by their own admission, are driven by compulsions that they cannot control. Rehabilitation cannot work for most of them, which is why there are public lists and websites of these people, which can be accessed by anyone. Forewarned is forearmed.
However admirable your views on people's ability to change are, you are seriously out of touch with reality.
What evidence? Your opinions are not evidence. Unless I am mistaken, you do not work in the criminal justice system, nor with any agency which would give you a background upon which to base your claims.
I also work for neither, but I am not making any claims, other than that I feel these people are a blight on society and would rather see them destroyed rather than returned to society. There are enough unconvicted crazies on our streets these days that we can not yet justify destroying.
So, go ahead and invite all the child molesters and rapists into your home and after a few years, please get back to me with your impressions of how they changed and became productive members of society.
