Cyst on ovary but no period, iin?

So I haven't had my period on about 2 months now, so my dcotor sceduled me for a ultra sound. Yesterday the doctor called in saying I have a large cyst on my ovaries...now I got to go get blood drawn to test if it cancerous..I think. Does cysts cause no period? Also has anyone else had this happen to them??

Is It Normal?

    Yes they can. I have polycystic ovaries and my period comes every 3 mths or so.... It sucks. Also depends if you have one or many - last check I had like 14 on one of mine, not nice at all. Keep in touch with your doc regularly and monitor it. All the best.

    Yes a cyst can lead to no periods. Your ovaries produce hormones which when relased help run the female cycle a cyst on an ovary can inhibit the release of hormones and affect your cycle hence no period. Hope this helps
