That's like saying all females are dirty whores that just sleep with anyone (with no consideration for it). It's not true. I may be single but if I ever had a partner, I would never cheat (I'd rather die). I utterly despise those who do. I don't support "friends with benefits" either. There's absolutely no point of a relationship if you don't go into it fully inlove with your hypothetical partner (as well as only having sex with him or her).
And yet many people support or even act on polygamy/polyandry. That's just accepted cheating.
I agree with yr post except for last sentence. How is it "cheating" (which implies dishonesty) if everyone involved is being open and honest? The people I know who practise polyandry put a lot of time and energy into really clear communication so that no-one feels cheated on.
I'm not so sure about polygamy because that usually seems to involve one male ruling the roost with a harem of submissive women.
And then of course there's polyandry - one woman with more than one male - yum yum yum
