There would be learning portions of the android brain and non programmable portions, which would include basic parameters. Don't set yourself on fire, don't hurt your owner, no your hand does not blend.. etc etc..
We already have a situation where people are viewed as replaceable. People who have more online friends than off tend to cut links with people relatively quickly, there will always be someone to take their place.
I do believe that will continue and people who have an emotional investment in an android may well treat each other better as there is nothing to gain or lose in the relationship, other than friendship. There is no pretense, no chance of dating, they share each others' company for no reason other than friendship.
Robots CAN turn on us? We don't have robots capable of that at this point and it is exceedingly easy to program a computer with basic parameters that cannot be broken. Robots would not be subject to human flaws, such as ego or meglomania.
I think you are posting from fear. As for humanity, it died long ago.
At the end of the day, an android would be there to do what all other technology does, better our lives.
I guess you could say, the androids could be what humans used to be to one another. They could exhibit more "humanity" than people do to one another. Maybe, they could teach us a few things about how to be better people.
I mean, here you are.. posting from fear, stating you are willing to go out to destroy someone else's property and perhaps happiness, because you do not understand it. That kind of behaviour isn't worth preserving or defending. That is not "perfect", far from it.
Could you love an android/gynoid/humanoid robot that was "perfect"?

Big assumptions there.

lets agree to disagree, because this is like two different religions trying to prove something pointless. we shall see, when the day comes.
