Could you go without music for the rest of your life?

Pretty much what the question states.

Now why the hell would any sane person want to do that?

Yeah, it's everywhere. My soul would be empty without it.

This is kind of impossible. There is music in the rustle of leaves in the wind. Stomp your feet and clap your hands while practicing your beatboxing skills. Or, just sing. Or, whistle.

    whistle while you work.

Considering I am a musician I could not. I would have no job and no social interactions

Same here. Even if I couldn't make any money from it I could never stop playing.

It would be better to go without a partner than without music!

Not even for any amount of money, hell no. Life would be too difficult.

  • Could I? Yeah but it would be insanely hard to put up with.

If this includes everyday music that you can't control or even music on tv then this isn't really possible... if you just want to watch the news you can't also what about natural music? Everything we do can be interpreted as music in some way to it's practically impossible.

I could in some aspects. Like if I had no good way to play music, which I do already basically. It would suck sometimes but meh. But movies, TV and other such stuff would be wierd without music. Bars/clubs would be dead. Places that play music in the background would have an eerie silence, or rather... they'd probably play a loop of advertisements. So those parts would be very hard or impossible to get used to.

One of my favorite movies actually has no sountrack but I don't see that as workable for all entertainment.
