I few days ago I came across a post that was saying something similar, I found a comment that resonated with me.

No one feels love. We feel familiarity and we have chosen to call some form of that love.
I feel responsible for my child. I will do everything important for him. I will sacrifice my life if I KNOW it will save his. But that’s because I am a man of responsibility. It’s how I was raised. And I enjoy being that person. Others were raised to be responsible and don’t do it. So what makes me different? I choose to do it because my personal feeling is that of enjoyment for it. So do I love my child or am I just satisfying the feeling of enjoyment of taking care of responsibility?
Me. I’m choosing to fulfill my needs. It just so happens to work out in my son’s favor.
Easier to see that same example in relationships and family. Those are things that even if you walk away, others won’t judge too much. But society and evolution dictates we MUST care for the children.
But the honest truth. A good man enjoys being good. So he does thing thats viewed as good…based on his upcoming and culture, and overall surroundings.
Could you describe love?

Love is a cute word. But it’s not real.
