Could you accomplish everything you want to do in life by age 40?

This includes your dream job, your own home, traveling to everyplace you want to visit, hobbies, having as many pets as you want, contributing many things to both family and society, and having/raising children (along with other wants).

Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

  • Since my goals include living past 40, no.

  • As a sperm, my ambition was to git to the egg, git to the egg. I peaked early and everything else has been a disappointment.

  • I'd have 4 years, so...no.

  • I had basically lived all my dreams by the time I was 31. I had had a family, circumnavigated the world under sail and known many of the most talented and famous musicians of my time, just to name a few things.
It left me directionless and searching for new experiences for which I hadn't planned for. Though I was having a great life as a yacht captain, traveling the world some more, I was kinda on cruise control and drifting.
Be careful what you wish for, because it may come true.

  • That would be great, but considering how much I still want to do, I don't know If I'll ever reach a point where I'll have done everything I ever want to.

My list of 'things to do' is growing faster than my ability to do them.

  • No, my dream job was to be a journalist but now I realised that living here I would never be satisfied with this job. Now I just hope that when I finish my degree I would be promoted and that I could save enough money to go to Kenya or Ethiopia.

At forty I think that I would have accomplish most of the thing I want. However wants are unlimited, once we satisfy one another pops up.

  • Yes if you have low standards

  • It is theoretically possible to do that. Mark Zuckerberg sure did. Since he's a billionaire in his 20s and money is the key to visit every possible country or live every possible experience it is definitely in his league. For me it's too late, well I'm not yet 40 but I doubt I can still become a billionaire before that age.
