Cookie dough? is it normal to eat this stuff like candy?

Yeah, I thought, I'll make these cookies to last me through the week to pop into my lunch.

Oh crappppppp, I just ate half the cookie dough for a batch meant to produce 20 drop size cookies. Fugggggg!

They're really good if you ever want to buy this.

Um, I need water!!!! This is going to be misery for about a day. Ugh. Blah! Side effects, meh, blah, awful. Misery deserved. This gives me an anxiety trip, because I can get really awful sick from it. I was sleepy. That's no excuse, though.

They're still good, if you actually bake them. So, try them, if you can get them, lol. Just don't eat the dough like I did.

This stuff is addictive. It's actually great I get such horrible side effects. That means my diet screw ups like this are kept very rare. I might dive into sugar junk every three months.

  • 2 years ago I went through a phase of eating raw packaged cookie dough. It tastes good, but it's not very healthy.

wheat fields have rats they shit these pellot turds that are about the size of wheat grain. The turd contain this tiny egg for a dwarf tapeworm that is killed when you bake flour. Hymenolepis nana for the doubters . the infection increases the likelihood of colon cancer . Enjoy that uncooked flour dumbass. apparently freezing the parasite egg just wont kill it either

Can't you get salmonella from raw egg? Or was that only a probable risk like 15 years ago?

In the UK, the risk of salmonella from raw eggs has apparently been reduced to nearly nil.

No idea what the situation is elsewhere in the world.

the risk of a cooked egg is zero. in england the risk of getting salmonella is one in 20,000 raw eggs consumed. meaning every day people get egg salmonella.

The 1 in 20,000 statistic seems odd to me.

In England and Wales in 2015, there were 8,451 confirmed cases of salmonella poisoning. Population of England and Wales in 2015 was about 58 million, so one confirmed case of salmonella poisoning (from all sources) for every 6,800 people.

Around twelve billion eggs are consumed in the UK every year so, on average, each Brit eats around 180 eggs in a year. No idea how many are eaten raw, but there have to be quite a few.

Obviously, a lot of people get salmonella food poisoning and never make it on the statistics because they don't see a doctor, but just self-medicate and feel miserable for a few days. Also the case that salmonella is commonly found in several foods.

Odd? Hang on there, mate. Must we colonials finish the maths for all tasks that you loyalists start? Well no worries brother. The question is given that 1 in 20000 are bad, what percentage of eggs must be eaten raw to cause 8451 cases.

            A. 12000000000 eggs where 1 in 20000 are bad = 600000 bad eggs.

            B. 600000 bad eggs X 1.4085% eaten raw = 8451 cases of salmonella.

These linear assumptions are a bit overly simplistic. The binomial distribution says a few unlucky people will get salmonella more than once per year. And true, other sources like contamination by raw meat create salmonella as well.

But last time I stayed in London, 1.4% mostly Christmas Eggnog with a bit of brandy to kill the germs seemed about right. I said fuck the eggnog, I'll just sip the brandy. The rain and ice tapping the roof sounded nice. The fire was right. 'Twas a pleasant evening spent and for all a good night.

The only thing Edwina Curry has ever been responsible for are some stomach-churning headlines about the steamy relationship she had with the exceedingly dull John Major.
