If you dont want to read my spiel, at least hear this: self medicating with psychoactive drugs is the worst idea ever. This is ALWAYS the cause of addiction.
"Shitty high school, shitty senior year, shitty decisions."
Totally there with you.
"It took me a while to realise it, but the reality is people don't work on how good your heart is, how nice your ideas are. And with a new move and a new group of people in my life, I've realised that, believe it or not, social acceptance hinges on peoples shallow, knee jerk judgements of you"
Yes and no. Making friends may be harder, but it can't be impossible unless YOU have a deflated opinion of YOURSELF. Thats all that really matters. Don't have such a pessimistic view of humanity, there are people who aren't shallow, and most people are at least aware that being shallow is stupid and will realize their error if they see that you accept yourself. Thats the only way people will accept you, if you accept yourself. If you make friends by being skinny and attractive but you dont respect yourself, your friends will see that and stop being your friend. Doing something to yourself to impress others IS NOT respecting yourself.
Point is, if you want to lose weight, do it for yourself. Thats the only you can be truly happy with the result, regardless of how it turns out.
Amphetamines are a horrible idea. Four words- requiem for a dream. Will amphetamines really make you feel better? No, they may help you lose weight, but you will have less meaningful relationships and you will possibly become a drug addict. Cost-benefit analysis. If you try to be as healthy as possible and adjust your lifestyle, you will get much better results. But this will depend on whether you accept yourself. Doing something for others' opinions is an awful idea and will never yield good results. Good luck
Considering the logistics of using amphetamines for weight loss. IIN?
