I honestly have no idea, but i am sure that it was less. He used to reply instantly to texts when we first became friends and did that for a few years. Then it slowly got longer and harder to get in contact or see him unless I waited by his class. He is the only real friend that I have ever had of someone who is my age. I know that I was desperate to see him, but I really tried to control showing my obsessive impulses. The obsession grew with time and I was a lot less obsessed when we first started hanging out than I am now. I'm not sure why the obsession happened. One of my previous therapists from years ago predicted that this would happen with my first friend.

Looks like your old therapist was right! Getting obsessed with someone is a surefire way to scare that person away.
