I think I have a weird personality. I usually think a lot, I have always been a thinker and I have been known as the quiet girl throughout primary and secondary school. In college I started finding myself and I feel childish, I ask many questions and I have a few 'blond' moments which I get crtisized on. I like jumping about when I get excited (sometimes for no reason).

My ex said I appear to have a mind of a child and it is genuine, which freaked me out. I have a normal life (ishh, or else I wouldn't be on this site) I get good grades, have a few hobbies I do, but I am worried I will be like a child forever.

Is this something to worry about?
I am 18 by the way

    What one may perceive as childish may be seen as mature to another. I think everyone has tendencies to be childish or immature in some way. That's just life XD

    it's not normal it's perfect! in fact you should pray to keep that your hole life! i wish I do.. (but i'll probably will anyway)

    You're only 18-years-old! It's way too early to be concerned about slightly immature habits and whatnot. If anything, I wish I were less mature than I am now at 18, lol.

    I too can be a bit child like sometimes. I wouldn't say childish because that implies immaturity, which is not the feeling I get from what I read about you and I know I'm not immature (at least not often ;) One of my ex boyfriends said that my child like moments were one of his favorite things about me. He used to love it when he would give me a gift or treat (even if it was a simple one like my favorite cookies) and I would hug and kiss him and skip around him all happy. I know that sounds really dumb but one day he just smiled huge and was like: "I've been waiting all day for you to do that. I couldn't wait to give you your surprise!" He and my friends and family think it's real cute when I rub my eyes because they say I do it like a little girl (with my fists). Anyway, I think you are very normal and a lot of people enjoy others who have a child like air about them. It usually brings about a positive atmosphere!

    Really? Sounds annoying as hell, there's no reason to be so grossly cheery about anything. I personally hope that reality hits you like a train leaving behind that childlike stupidity.

    If people said you had a mind like a child at your age most people would consider you mentally retarded. That would also technically mean that your ex was a pedophile. Maybe you should consider dating someone like rain man.

      that's stupid! that doesn't mean she's retarded! and it doesn't mean her ex was a pedofile!i mean she never said that she wasn't physically developed and that's what attracts pedofiless!! u don't know anything do you?? btw having a childish personality doesn't mean she alway acts like a child! it only means that she has her childish moments and that she sees life in a more joyfull way...
