Chest pain at 21

Alright so I'll start by saying I'm 6 foot 325lbs(big but not disturbingly fat) I'm smoke marijuana but not cigs and drink socially, I played high school sports in every season (football, swimming, track).

Recently I experienced an abnormal chest pain about a week ago. I don't know but I thinks it's become chronic and I have pains- not awful or demobilizing- but short mild pains any where from the left side above my heart to the far right side near my ribs. I have no pain in my left arm or numbness. Though I have experience inconjestion during a pain. Should I get an EKG? Am I ok? I don't sangho die of a heart attack at 21! I thought I was atleast going to live to 25.

It's probably nothing at your heart, it might however be Syndrom of Tietze.

Google it, it's some form of Rheuma I have.

But you should go to a doctor.

When I was 20 I thought I was having a heart attack. But, it turns out it was heartburn. I started getting chronic painful heartburn around then.
Try taking daily prilosec, it works the best and I don't have that horrible heart-type pain anymore.
Indigestion genuinely feels like heart pain.

Indigestion can feel like heart pain and vice versa, I know because I've had both. Don't diagnose or prescribe, you're not a doctor and he needs to see one

You should definately go see your doctor! Mariguana can adversely effect your health and that includes lung cancer. Don't wait! see your doctor!

  • It could be something more serious, but after years of having something similar, my brother told me that he gets the same thing and it is pockets of air getting trapped in the lungs. Fully deflate your lungs, then hold for one second and give a really good effort at deflating again, then inhale and see if that dissolves the pain.

This might not be the same thing: chest pain can be all sorts of things and often doctors can't diagnose it accurately without tests - he need to go to a doctor, he needs to go to a doctor, he needs to go to a doctor!

Are you stressed out a lot lately or worried about something? It could be symptoms of anxiety but the pains are usually accompanied by shortness of breath and possibly panic attacks.

Contrary to popular believe, chest pain IS NOT a symptom of a heart attack! What he's describing is Chest Tightness (which is a symptom of Asthma), and the in-congestion is probably from Gastro-Oesophageal Reflux, which is a major cause of Adult-onset Asthma.

You don't know what you're talking about and your comments are dangerously ignorant: I've had a heart attack AND I DID HAVE CHEST PAIN. Who are you anyway, the psychic internet doctor who can make full diagnoses from a couple of lines in OP's post? You're dangerously stupid

  • Well considering you're worried like this, you should go see a doctor just to make sure everything is alright. Hope it's nothing though, good luck.
