Cheerful on warm sunny days

Weather, especially sunlight and temperature, or lack of it affects me significantly. My mood and energy seem to depend upon sunlight and temperature. If it is warm and sunny then I am in high spirits full of energy.
Does it affect you too to such extent?

Is It Normal?

  • It's pretty common to be that way, but the extreme emotions are what might mean you have SAD. I get that sometimes but not all the time and it is isn't usually that bad. But yeah it's generally depressing

  • Of course this is normal!
Why do you think Seattle has the highest suicide rate? (Rain! Rain! Rain! That's why!)

  • I'm the opposite.

The weather has no affect on me unless the snow prevents me from going anywhere or it rains on my picnic.

Maybe it is something chemical. If you NEED sunlight, try a tanning bed.

  • This condition has recently become recognized as S.A.D. (seasonal affective disorder), so you're not alone.
Google it. There's lots of info on the web.

    • Yep, I'm a lot like that. If it's warm and a little breezy outside, I'm in the highest of spirits. If it's freezing and snowing, I put on my unhappy face. You're not alone.
