Changed sleeping habbits

Is it normal to have changing sleeping habbits when under a lot of stress?
I've been waking up in fear, not knowing why. Last night i laughed in my sleep and woke up laughing, not knowing why. I fell back to sleep and woke up again because i heard a noise and was terrified...

What can this mean? What can i do?

    Start solving your problems. That will help. Tackle them one at a time. If you look at your problems it may seem a daunting task so pick one and deal with it then move onto the next.

    Its normal. Buy a melatonin supplement and take it about an hour before you would normally be going to bed.(Its cheap and you can find it at pretty much any store in the vitamin section.) Hopefully it will help get your sleep schedule back on track. No caffeine after you take the melatonin. The sooner the better, because the longer this goes on the harder it will likely be to correct it. Best of luck with your troubles. This too shall pass.

      A lot of stuff has changed this past month. My life is definitely a mess right now...
      Doing something about it will probably lead to better sleep, i just don't see how i can change it right now.
      The problem is that my sleeping pattern has left me exhausted and i don't know if i can do anything about this thing to help me sleep better? :)
