I think most people can tell. It's not necessarily that you're not well assimilated but most animals including humans can sense when someone is slightly different. Don't feel bad about it though it's up to you whether you want to share the info. I personally think it's rude to ask that sort of question.
I am actually very surprised by these results. I'm not bothered by people asking because it lets me know what behaviors to work on. It's better than being accused of being on drugs, which I get even more often.
