Can't make friends...

I'm 19. I'm going to college. I've moved 1,000 miles away from home. It was hard for me to adjust in the beginning, but then I found my boyfriend. He is really good to me. I just can't figure out why I can't make other friends. When I lived at home I had a lot of friends. It's really starting to bother me that I can't make other friends. I will admit that I am shy and some people take that as me being a "b**ch". I just can't figure out why I can't make friends here starting my new life?

Is It Normal?

    Oh man I have this problem too. You just gotta open yourself up a little more to them. It's hard to do it if you aren't very compatable with them, but soon you'll find yourself and the right people who like you too.

    i can't make friends either.. i only have a couple but i'm shy so people take me as being a bitch too..Because the way i act towards people when they try and speak to me..I'll just not speak to them right and some things i say never come out the way i want them to.Or probably the way i look maybe they kinda think of me as having an attitude when actually i dont have an attitude.So i think it's normal too. cause i have the same problem

    According to my analysis women are natural born enemies of each other, they compete at each other on almost every level, if your new to town and have a boyfriend already, then they will most likely hate you 2 times more. good luck suesy.

    the way to make friends is to be nice to everyone no matter who they are. they probably need to make friends too. even the people we think are weird are really cool when you get to know them:D and chances are they are just shy!

    you probably not talking to the right people :/ you need to find people that share same interests in order to make good friends other wise they'll just be classmates.
