It sounds like she needs to clean up a bit. I'm guessing you are young and both relatively inexperienced with sex. When I was in high school my girlfriend had a rather strong odor because she didn't clean well enough.
Fast forward a decade and any adult woman I've been with including my wife has a much milder smell. It's never going to smell like roses, but with proper hygiene it shouldn't be overpowering. Don't encourage her to douche though as that can be unhealthy.
When the smell isn't overpowering it is actually kind of a turn on.
