Look, using nicotine in any form is not a habit you want to pick up.
At first it is no big deal but someday you look back and think, "Well fuck, I wasted a lot of money and probably did some damage to my health".
I smoked for 15 years and yeah, it calms the nerves but the drawbacks are a bitch. Things like "needing a smoke" at inopportune times, the money wasted, burning holes in stuff like clothes, car seats, whatever.
It gets to a point where you want to quit more than you want to smoke.
My two main things were that I was tired of being a slave to it plus I was getting to where I could not laugh without coughing.
I quit on a friday so I would have two stress free days to suffer in peace. Yeah I am off weekends.
Bad thing is that even 14 months after quitting, sometimes i still want one. The crave is not overwhelming but is there.
I might mention I quit cold turkey. No pills, vape, chew, patches, nothing.
Yeah I need to quit cold turkey. I’ve tried pills patches vape and gum no luck. I just need to find something to distract me. And I need to stop wasting my money on it.
Can smoking cigarettes help relieve anxiety

All of this is spot on, as another former smoker. If you’re not already addicted to nicotine, don’t go there.
I completely agree. It’s also very hard to quit once you start. I’ve probably quite about 10 times already.
