  • Look, using nicotine in any form is not a habit you want to pick up.
At first it is no big deal but someday you look back and think, "Well fuck, I wasted a lot of money and probably did some damage to my health".
I smoked for 15 years and yeah, it calms the nerves but the drawbacks are a bitch. Things like "needing a smoke" at inopportune times, the money wasted, burning holes in stuff like clothes, car seats, whatever.

    • All of this is spot on, as another former smoker. If you’re not already addicted to nicotine, don’t go there.

    • I completely agree. It’s also very hard to quit once you start. I’ve probably quite about 10 times already.

      • It gets to a point where you want to quit more than you want to smoke.
My two main things were that I was tired of being a slave to it plus I was getting to where I could not laugh without coughing.

I quit on a friday so I would have two stress free days to suffer in peace. Yeah I am off weekends.

Bad thing is that even 14 months after quitting, sometimes i still want one. The crave is not overwhelming but is there.
I might mention I quit cold turkey. No pills, vape, chew, patches, nothing.

        • Yeah I need to quit cold turkey. I’ve tried pills patches vape and gum no luck. I just need to find something to distract me. And I need to stop wasting my money on it.
