I was watching this tv show awhile ago called "Taboo USA" and one of the subjects featured was this exact topic. The people involved all seemed happy and genuinely cared for each other. Honestly they all seemed to make it work so I think it is possible if you all love each other.
the reason why i personally support poly relationships, is that monogamy doesn't work in my eyes, at least not without A LOT of compromise and sacrifice. One person cannot possibly be everything for and to another person without there being compromise and compromise breeds disappointment and resentment, both of which can result in the death of a relationship.
compromise doesnt breed dissapointment and resentment. compromise is a better way to deal with things than any other way. if people stopped fighting over things and compromised to a point where both halves got benefit from it then it wud b better for both sides. if you love someone you will compromise and you will love them flaws and all. its not a good compromise if you get dissappointment and resentment from it. sacrifices arent always bad in exchange for doing something you get someone you can always go to when ur alone and always have someone to talk to when ur upset or down and always have someone at home waiting for you to love you without judgement. that ^^^ is true love if you have that it will work. if you dont then you shouldnt be in a relationship.
and to answer your question, yes, bt imagine how many different compromises overlapping with one another there will be. there are pros and conns bt with the right people it can work.
