A lot of times when I'm friends with a woman and she gets a boyfriend, she ends the friendship with me because they always tell me their boyfriend is jealous and does not want them hanging with the opposite gender. I never had feelings for them(I'm more attracted to men). We just hung out and did normal friend stuff. I also noticed that this had happened to a female friend of mine with guys. Can people of the opposite gender be friends?

The real issue here is your female friend sucks at dating. She's picking these controlling men who have the gall to force her to end friendships.
I've had my best friend all my life and I've had a boyfriend for 3 years till present day. My best friend is a decent person and there's no attraction just brotherhood vibes if you know what I mean? My boyfriend has no problem with him and we can hang out without my boyfriend and he'd be all good. This is an example of a real friendship and a real relationship respectively.
I have a female friend, she is like a sister to me. When guys would get jealous she be in a relationship with, she would lay it down that her and me are like brother and sister, and if they don't like it then leave because she isn't going to break off friendship over jealousy bullshit. And I am the same way.
Of course unless one or both are hiding attraction or.....

Yes, of course men and women can be just friends. I have friends who are women that I don't have any attraction towards on anything more than a friend level.
