Can "iin" staff make it so you can block people?

I would like to block people on this site. It would be very helpful, so you don't get so many reports, but actually just block them.

Freedom of speech, hey, perfectly normal. Great. We all need that. But there is things wrong.

"SLEEPING WITH MY MOM? NORMAL?"
"JIZZ IN MY PANTS? NORMAL?"
"SHIT-CAKING MY UNDERWEAR? NORMAL?"

Tell me you wouldn't want these posts... Gone.

Are they helping you or the user? No... They're... Dumb. Do you want to be dumb?

I believe shitposts like those drive the intelligent people away. How many people here actually help people? They're jokes, and there should be a "for jokes", "just jokes" category. Because that's... What they really are.

I'd be for starring out profanities and insults and maybe just seeing from there how it goes. Some people might take blocking so far as to erase respectfully expressed but 'unpopular' opinions (e.g. people critical of the LGBT political movement; people who for personal reasons cannot comfortably watch a woman breastfeeding a child in public and want to share their pain). I'd be sad to see IIN turn into an intolerant place where no opinions or experiences were allowed to be expressed unless they conformed to the 'liberal' norm. Authentically experienced reality doesn't fit into 'boxes' of political acceptability, cognitive dissonance is a huge part of accepting who you are and working with what you've got towards becoming who you want to be. I think IIN is the last place where people should feel pressured to censor themselves.

Man, I say FREEDOM of SPEECH. Get raw, get nasty, and let the verbiage flow. Historically, freedom of speech is the only thing that has ever worked.

I honestly can't support the whole blocking people thing in good conscience, and there is a person I would love to block, because I'm annoyed by probably 90% of what this person posts. However, one of the things that I feel has benefited me personally the most from this website is increased distress tolerance, so even though there may be some trolls I'm not for blocking at this point... meh.

A blocked person can't comment on your posts? (Perhaps some anonymity issues there)
A blocked person can't reply to or vote on your comments?
A blocked person can't direct message you.

      Secondly, there is no "sex filter for prudes". There is a "safer mode" which filters out SOME sexual, as well as SOME "violent" STORIES/POLLS, NOT these idiot's INCESSANT COMMENTS. Let's say instead of them posting nonstop "my wife loves to be fucked by black men", it was "My wife loves god and jesus, she prays every day, god and jesus are the best, you all should be christians" or "I am an independant women and I hate men, men are horrible blah blah blah" and they post this sort of thing for every comment, on several posts, every single day for years.

  I would say the only one I can support is a blocked person can't direct message you, but don't we already have that? Is that function still working?
  
  I do want to mention that I would like to be able to post links that one can just click on instead of having to copy and paste the link onto one's browser.
  
  Also for some reason when I try to respond to comments on a post I've made I cannot click the little box to do so anonymously for whatever reason. I pretty much only use my android phone for this site if that helps.
  
  Finally, in closing I second what Cuntsiclestick said about the profile pictures. Is that function available with IIN Gold, or is it completely disabled? Please bring back profile pics!

I'm for free speech and zero censorship. There's always the sex filter for prudes and the easily offended who need a safe space but I believe it's a bit buggy and could use a few improvements.
