Can a prostitute utter these words and be taken seriously?

  • I don't buy that, she might be smart, but even if she is down on her luck there are always other ways, but mopping floors is much harder than lying on your back and you wont be able to afford luxury.

    • Agreed. She should go into stripping. I know women that make up to $1500 a week, sometimes $3000 a week, off fifteen dollar outfits and some good dancing. After all, erotic dancing is just another form of entertainment. I almost feel stupid for not going into it myself.

Porn is also a great industry. If you find the right person to work for, you can make $250 an hour plus royalties. And I doubt prostitution is horribly unprofitable as well.

Make bank using what god (or the surgeon) gave you by bringing others pleasure or entertainment or mop floors and make pennies, and barely get by? I know what I'd choose if I wasn't religious myself.

Besides, who are you to judge? For many prostitutes, the job was not a choice, they were forced into it. Many decent men and women have made some pretty dumb decisions or none at all and ended up as victims of the sex trade which is relatively unknown to most folks. And whose to say that she isn't in it for her own pleasure?

One thing I can not stand about this society, a woman can rent out her uterus but not her vagina and a man can sell his sperm but not use of where the sperm came from. Or is it because these people are using their bodies to make money off of sexual desires and not using them to fulfill gluttonous desires (cooking), monetary desires (payroll management and banking) vanity desires (clothing design) or other conservative desires that makes them lesser people?

I can excuse humor at the expense of another. But her career and her intelligence need not be related.

      • I just had a thought- wouldn't it be easier for someone to take a job as a stripper than to take one as a prostitute? They get a lot of money, as you said, AND it's a legal business. You'd figure there'd be more people in the stripping and porn business than prostitution...

        • In theory, yes, however, stripping requires more established physical fitness, dancing skills, personality (because looks alone won't convince men to buy lap dances) and some sort of training as well as a license in many states, these qualities generally are not required of your common, garden variety prostitute.

          • You actually need a license to strip in some states? Huh. I did not know that.
