Bromance?

My best friend and I are really close. He's a lot closer to me than I am to him though. I love the kid, I open up to him all the time, and half the time he blows it off. I tend to think about him a lot and how much he means to me, but he just kinda sees me as one of his normal friends and I want that to change. Is it normal to have such an affectionate feeling toward a best friend even though it isn't mutual?

I'm in pretty much the same situation as you..
and if you want things to change, tell him how you feel, better to tell him and see how it goes than regret not telling him at all

Awww! Haha im straight but iv always wanted that kind of relationship. Some ppl say that kind of things gay but you can love your friends without anything romantic being there. Girls do it all the time haha

Gay means that you are sexually attracted to someone of the same sex,

the OP never talked about how hot his friend is, when he gets sweaty, or how he notices a bulge in his pants. He just has a longing relationship with the guy, nothing sexual, it's all emotional, although it does seem kind of gay when I put it that way.
