but even with murder, the men aren't being murdered because they're men.
in most situations the men are killed because they chose to go to - or remain in - a dangerous area.
And in that case it's not that they're doing it because of their gender, they're doing it because they don't understand "situational awareness" and that it's OK to back down from trouble.
Well actually, men are more known to be attacked than females are, most likely because they're male and hitting a female doesn't make them feel powerful.
The second point irritates me. I could just turn around and say "In most situations the female is raped because they chose to live in dangerous areas".
You basically impled that it's a man's fault for being murdered, although I'm sure you would say I'm wrong if I said the same about a female being raped.
Have you seen the video of the man getting stabbed and beaten to death when he wasn't doing anything to intimidate the people abusing him?
Or how about the chinese boy recently that was curling up, not being intimidating at all, getting beat up by about four other people. Saying that it's because the man won't back down is just not right. What if I said "Well, the female got raped because she won't wear non revealing clothes that edge on the thought of sexual intercourse with the person later to be his rape victim"?
Where the fuck did I say women are at fault? for rape I didn't. I never have said that ever.
If you read that into my reply... that is your own doing. End of story.
What I AM saying is that SITUATIONAL AWARENESS is something both genders need to use.
No one deserves being attacked, raped, or hurt. But the FIRST STEP in protecting yourself lies in being aware of what's going on around you and learning when to exfel. (aka - when to get the hell out of the area and go somewhere safe).
I've seen many men get hurt simply because they got stupid. they saw a fight or a dangerous situation and instead of going away their egos took over and they went in and got their asses handed to them.
Many women avoid this because they're trained to stay out of dangerous situations first, or to defend themselves.
Now this doesn't apply to all people. Those who have pulled their heads out of their asses have learned to get the hell out of dodge when it comes to dangerous situations.
the simple truth is... the issue isn't the gender but how you teach them and how you teach them to respond to danger.
...I never once said that "you" said it, I said it's a simular thing as implying men are to blame for being murdered for being in dangerous areas, which is what you did say.
"in most situations the men are killed because they chose to go to - or remain in - a dangerous area."
^^^ From you. I never read it wrong, you clearly imply that it is partly the man's fault for the events of a murder because he goes to a certain area or remains in a certain area.
I said that it is the same example for women being raped. If they are in an area that there is known to be crime, then they shouldn't go around that area, and if they do, then they are partly to blame because they are in an area that they know rape is a possibility. Now, I don't believe that but it's the same as you imply for males being murdered.
So no, I didn't read it wrong, you clearly read what I said wrong.
That's all fine and dandy, except I don't think the people that are walking home from work or going to the shop go out and choose to be in such an area to get home or go to a shop, it's where they need to go for supplies and where they need to walk past to get home. So when they do this, and they are attacked, saying that they are in dangerous areas willingly is just not a good point to make. Not to mention, not everyone has a choice on where to be.
Not to mention all the males trying to protect their little siblings from being attacked that end up being killed to save their family member.
Just a while ago there was someone in the newspaper, a teen male that died in a house fire. He got out of the house safe and sound, he then ran back in because his baby sisters and baby brother was still in the house. He tried to save them, he died because he tried to save them.
My point is that males are more known to risk their health for others rather than risk their health for their ego.
That's weird, you must inform me of this training ground that trains women to avoid danger, because when there is a fight, I see just as many women around as I see men, and never do I see a man jumping in unless he's trying to stop the fight or help his friend. Are you saying that you have seen many people jump into fights that never concerned them? Really? You can't blame me for not believing you there.
But hey, I guess if a woman was being raped and a man seen it happening was to stay back so they don't get hurt, that would be seen as the right call, right? Afterall, all they would be doing is trying to boost their ego when they could be hurt instead of avoiding something that doesn't concern them, or are males supposed to jump in when crime is happening to females they don't know but not males they don't know?
