Both extremes make people irritable

Has anyone else notice that when it's bitter cold like in the teens and single digits, or below zero, people get grouchy and irritable in the same way they do when it's very hot out in the upper 80s, in the 90s and trible digits? I used to think that it was something with the heat itself that made people feel and act worse, but now, I'm sure it's that it's more to do with temperature extremes on either end simply making you more uncomfortable. Whether it's extreme heat or cold, it's the discomfort caused by either that makes people irritable, it's not the heat itself. Anyone else agree?
