Bored of brexit politics

So I'm British, and I just want this whole Brexit saga resolved so that my country can get on with focussing on the real issues affecting it.

Brexit seems to be literally the only issue on the table that MPs are focussing on and frankly our binary, tweedle-dee/tweedle-dum politics has gone on for far too long, even before the EU in/out referendum we were given as a nation back in June 2016.

Is anyone else as disillusioned with politics as I am?

Hope the UK stays out of the EU and keeps its currency. The EU is slowly eroding the cultures it takes control of. Pumping migrants into the peoples backyards.

I'm American and getting bored of Americans talking about brexit like it somehow affects us either way. You got conservatives acting like its a victory and liberals freaking out I hope you guys finish it up so both can shut the fuck up about it. 2016 is the start of a lot of annoying memes like blaxit which is cringe as hell.

In America its russian investigations and ukraine investigations, pornstar investigations, tax investigations, they're in search of any crime they can find because they have no chance in 2020. Theyre just clinging to hope to keep their power. Republicans are crying about it and so are the dems. I cant watch it anymore. The democrats were having a secret impeachment meeting and the republicans busted in and made a big scene the other day. You just roll your eyes. Its like a bunch of children that arent getting their way. Meanwhile our healthcare system is fucked and they arent working on it.

I'm a British expat living and working in mainland Europe and I'm bored of it too. Decide my fate, already!

I notice colleagues from the country I'm in talking about it, and they sometimes glance in my direction, stop speaking and ask me for my views as if I were a performing seal... so I fluster awkwardly and search for my words and muck up my grammar and look even more like a foreigner. Or I might be walking along with someone and they mention Brexit in conversation to show off that they take an interest in international affairs. I just cringe. My country is tearing itself apart and my future is uncertain, and you're just using it as conversation-fodder, to try and look clever. This experience is why I 'get' why cultural appropriation can be offensive to people. For instance, I can imagine a native American might be similarly offended by white Americans dressing up as a stereotypical Indian chief for Halloween. It's the same kind of thing - using something that belongs to a different group of people, for entertainment among your group of people, without any concern for the people it belongs to, because they're 'not us'.

I agree it's clear that no political leader cares about the common people yet the masses love to paint them up as the best of the best.
