America has 900,000 police officers for 319 million citizens. If the police population was the same as the american population the police death total would be 4253 so far. (12 deaths x 354 times the population size)

Even if you want to compare that to the black only population ( 45 million approx) the police death total would be 600 ( 12 x 50 times population size)
Cops are dying at a faster rate than any ethnic group.
