Anyway, the actual dress has been confirmed to be blue and black, but the lighting as well as possibly photo shopped to distort the colors to appear lighter than they are.
Also people will see it different because their screen contrast may differ. People all have different amounts of cones and rods in their eyes, which cause everyone to perceive colors slightly different. In fact most people see slightly differently out of each eye.
All black items are actually a really dark version of another color, because pure black is absence of light and cannot exist in the presence of light.
To me it looks yellowish brown and whiteish blue, which is how I perceived the pixals on my i-pad.
All the worlds problems and we are fixated on a dress.
Spock would have been disappointed.
