Bf made me cry on my birthday

so today is my birthday. we went to bed around 6:30 am last night and i woke up around 11:30 and asked him if we could wake up now because my best friend is visiting and i want to see her, she is at my house and i went to his to sleep over for the night. he got super upset and trying t make me feel bad for this saying “i told you we should’ve gone to bed earlier” and just blaming me and all that and i started to cry because who wants to wake up on their birthday like that. after he saw me crying he was like “why are you crying??” and kept saying “you’re making me feel like an asshole” etc etc. is this wrong? it made me feel really shitty

    I mean, you should have probably gone to sleep earlier if you had plans for the next day but also he shouldn't have been so judgemental about it for you to wake up at an earlier than expected time or something?

      He should understand that you were just excited. If he really cared about you in that moment, he'd be more patient with you.

    Five hours of sleep is not technically a full night's sleep! You're probably all bright eyed, and bushy tailed, because you're excited about it being your birthday, but I bet he's still tired. Maybe you are in fact a bit of an asshole? Just cause it's your birthday doesn't mean your less of an asshole.

    6:30 a.m. is not last night, it is now, and always will be this morning. Just cause it's still dark outside does mean that morning in night, 6:30 a.m. is the morning, and not the nighttime.
